Call Out For Patrons!

It’s a new year, with a new president, and a blank slate ready and waiting.

I don’t have time to mince words.

This year, I have decided to self-publish. I have writing projects that have never seen the light of day, because I was working so hard to make them ready for traditional publishing. The problem with that was that the reality of traditional publishing has shifted since the last time I actively tried to publish my work (several decades ago).

To be published now, you have to already be famous, a household name with millions of followers on social media. Regardless of your talent, publishing houses do not want to take a chance on you if they don’t already see throngs of readers chomping to buy your book. It is a Popular Kids world now, and I am still the talented geek in the corner that no one is paying attention to.

Not anymore. Not if I can help it.

As usual, I am learning this new game on my own. The analytics would suggest that no one who uses the Internet would be interested in any story that I have to tell.

I am not willing to settle for that. But I need help.

I am accepting patrons on my Patreon page, where I upload new, exclusive content at least twice a week. There are three tiers by which you can pledge monthly. The money will go to my video production and publishing projects. There are perks and rewards. Merch will be coming. Please consider becoming my patron, because we geeks need attention, too.
