These capable Congresswomen–Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, and Ilhan Omar–are pissing off the privileged, the GOP, and the Racist Pig-in Chief.
How DARE they???
How dare they have minds of their own? How dare they vote against funding for a useless, ineffective border wall? How dare they advocate for the disenfranchised, the poor, the sick, the disabled, and the elderly? How dare they speak out for Americans who have no voice or power?
In other words, how dare they do their jobs as elected officials? And how dare they do them as Women of Color? Who do these women think they are–human beings?
I have a very simple theory as to why “The Squad” is able to stir up so much ire within the patriarchy:
